news:
29.09.08: Two years of foulfiend.com inaction were okay; accidentally* deleting it during an alleged server transfer was not. Life is busy, but the shock-worker that I am (see blog!), I'll get this f...sucker revamped soon enough! x)

27.09.06: Added a new cartoon of Apoptygma Berzerk. I've created this illustration entirely on the computer, which normally is not my preference. The subject matter convinced me yet again that I should work with more bad-ass religious imagery in the future.

Please note that I'm busy as hell, so it is likely that I won't get a chance to update within the next four months or so.

28.08.06: Updated the site with some photographs of demoncy from their June show at Jaxx. Considering that I don't attend shows in general, let alone out of the country, this month has been anomalous!

03.08.06: August commences with live shots of Intronaut .

22.06.06: Added some recent photographs depicting a Russian Orthodox cross procession.

20.04.06:
If you are interested in using this typically 80's image I've created as an album / ep (not demo) cover, then please contact me. It can be modified somewhat, which obviously includes changing the album title to reflect yours.

21.02.06: Updated my bio, whooptie-doo.

27.01.06:
This update consists of an illustration for Satyricon's Mother North, even though I barely have any time to create time-consuming band-related imagery, considering my schedule. This was drawn entirely in Photoshop - my initial sketches only included two faces, which I did not end up using. It feels a little strange to present an artwork, which has no tangible source or a counterpart.

And now - to figure out how to present my recent design work without infringing on the strict corporate guidelines...

17.11.05: I've finally added another one of my lengthy illustrated articles regarding the recent installations by dmitri prigov in Switzerland and their place within post-Soviet Moscow conceptual art scene. I had also decided to consideraby trim my entire written section, since much of it is no longer up to par, and since my current opinions are now being blogged.

As well, I've commenced work on a new Rocktoon, however due to a somewhat modified approach I'm using this time around, it'll probably be a while until it's finished.

31.10.05: Created a new self-portrait [wishful thinking] for Rocktoons.com. No, the shape of my head is not quite as...exaggerated. This tortured artwork had to undergo last minute changes, as my cartoony incarnation originally dragged the mighty bird by its neck(s), which was described to me as both unpatriotic (!) and inviting of certain err..unwarranted expressions.

Happy Halloween, my pretties and not-so-pretties!

19.09.05: Nothing major to report, other than the fact that I've cleaned out dead links as well as certain other parts of the website and began updating photos of myself (vanityblahblahblahhhcaptainobvious), because some of the current ones could be considered too dated.

03.09.05: I wanted to see if I could still paint, since I haven't done so in a year+. I can though I totally butchered the medium and made Christ look like baby Lenin....Now I feel like "byzantinizing" everything.

24.07.05:
I've been playing David Levinthal over the past few months and have decided to post one of the not-too-historically correct results called Before There Was Peipus. Could a prize be in the future of those who get the reference?! Not really, because it's not terribly difficult - I've ever germanized the title despite the subject matter, pffft.

19.06.05: This update includes a samael cartoon circa the Jupiterian Vibe video, which reminds me of my...err..youth and makes me wonder why my metal caricatures are rarely mean. (For example, I could've called the serpent the "shitty album snake", as Vorphie doesn't seem to be winning this one! ;).

The biggest change to the website is the removal of my message board and its replacement with a trendy blog (hey, at least it's not myspace, mmmkay?!). Temporary or permanent (as permanent as the life of a website, that is) - only time will tell. I am confident that finding out how many times a day I walk my dog will make your lives more meaningful. (By the way, today is the Dachshund of Doom's (i.e. parents' dachshund Leo, as opposed to my baby Sharikoff) birthday! I hope he at least received a lot of toys to play Jack the Ripper with.)

On an equally self-absorbed note, now that I'm using these nifty iFrames, I can actually add lengthier updates, like this one: I received my Master's earlier this month! Yeah, not that exciting, though it IS called "Magistr" in slavic languages and sounds like I'm a certified sorceress. Other than its uselessness, it also makes me feel like Akunin's personage. :)
03.05.05:
Four months! At least this stage of grad school has been completed. This update includes a militaristic photograph of Russia kicking ass and more ass in WWII, as I've started printing again. (Too bad the image is of Canadians. ;) Waiting to add some articles and another cartoon.

14.01.05:
It's been almost a year since I've done a band cartoon, so despite my attempts to focus on realistic sketching, I've decided to complete this templarish Turbonegro.
